Today, Lily and I walked along the Rum River Trail in downtown Anoka. We started at the southern end parking lot and followed the paved trail to the Rum River Dam in downtown Anoka. From there we headed south down Second Ave., crossed Main St. and then made our way west back toward the river. The walk today lasted about a an hour and we both enjoyed a great cool fall afternoon.

Lily was just making a fuss at the back of the chair in the other room. I went out there to see what was going on and figured I better find Sally because I think Lily found a mouse. Of course, Sally went out earlier, in the cold, and wouldn't come in so if there was a mouse I was thinking she would miss all the action. After a few minutes I realized Lily was trying to get to a pretzel just out of her zone feeling content and secure. In other words, Lily gets frustrated and makes a big deal over little things like a pretzel 1 inch further than her paw can reach.

Sunny, colorful afternoon walk on the Big Woods trail. Lily keeping her nose to the ground so she doesn't miss a thing. She gets so excited on this trail and eagerly explores zig zaging back and forth, sniffing and stopping to check out holes or other hopeful interesting things along the way.

Lily and my mom went walking in the Big Woods in Anoka which is by the Rum River in the northern part of the city. Many of the leaves were at their peak and Lily had a great time searching for rabbits.
