Over the past week Lily has been having a very hard time staying cool because it has been so hot and we don't have air conditioning. Fortunately, our basement is very cool and she stops panting down there. Also, my mom has been taking her for evening walks once the horrid summer heat subsides.
Hopefully, the heat wave that is suppose to last until next week will not continue much past that or repeat itself.
Once the cool weather comes around Lily will once again go out and about in the car.
As usual, Lily was out in the frontyard when I got home this evening. She didn't notice me at first because she was too busy scratching her back on a stick she found earlier. When she noticed my car she immediately flipped on to her feet. She knew I was coming home but I think she was distracted.
We played fetch for a while and then sat there watching the traffic go by on the street. Eventually, I said Lily let's go in and she hurried toward the door because she wanted her after outside cookie.
Now we're inside computing and hanging out in the living room. Sally is here too and Lily wants all the attention.
