Today, Lily and I went to Roseville and Falcon Heights to do some shopping and pick up the new comics at The Source. We found a nice looking park off Fairview Ave. near Rosedale Mall and after we parked we started running around the perimeter. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the park wasn't clear until we ran into a lot of muddy puddles and residential goose areas. The walk was still fun but I had to wipe Lily's legs and belly with snow because she doesn't have mud flaps.
Usually Lily is chasing Sally away from Lily's areas of the house. However, last night Sally had enough and chased Lily out of Sallyland. The storeroom is Sally's room and usually she will let Lily come in there and hang out but this time Sally made Lily run out with her tail between her legs. Really they are great friends and they like to play and hang out in the same areas of the house but at times they get territorial.
It's been a mild winter with warmer than usual temps and less snow than usual so Lily has been on many longer walks as the weather doesn't chase us inside. The trail sites that we use the most are the Ox Cart Trail along the Rum River, Coon Rapids marsh area trail, Mississippi trail by our house, Coon Rapids Creek trail, and the Elm Creek trail. Between all these Lily pup has put on a few miles and is keeping the weight off and I'm trying. Last week it was 60 degrees and we did a neighhood walk and with all the snow melt, rood salt, mud Lily needed a bath when we got home. She need mud flaps- just kidding.
