On the way home from work today I stopped at K-Mart and found the perfect stuffed rabbit for Lily. She really likes her new toy rabbit and doesn't want to let go of it or let Sally touch it. Maybe Lily will play with her new rabbit in front of the "webcam":http://www.terhurne.com/webcam/ for all to see.
This morning Lily and I went out in the car and did some shopping. I stopped at the Anoka K-Mart to check on something and afterward I took Lily down to the nearby Mississippi Park.
While walking, Lily checked out every possible location along the way for signs of wildlife. Lily saw a bunch of mallard ducks and chased after them but they flew off to the nearby island.
It looked like the beavers have been busy chewing down medium sized trees in several locations near the river bank. We investigated the chew marks and wood chips that were definitely made by an animal and not a saw.
No new sightings of Lily's buddy the possum but sometimes at night she hears, smells or senses something outside and wants to go out. A couple of times when tied out back she'll get all excited and run fast zig-zagging across the backyard as far as her rope will let her and with her nose to the ground like she is on the trail of something. I'll bet the possum has been back visiting Lily's territory.
